Canopy Inspections
Consultations will provide you with full yard inspection. Consultations vary from estimates in that their focus is more on education for the client in regards to their landscape.
- For tree/shrub health, we will provide the names of tree and shrub species, assess the health of the existing plantings, and provide recommendations for management.
- For plantings, we will inspect the site for light exposure, soil quality, drainage, and health of existing garden beds, and provide recommendations.
Ursa Minor charges a $50 fee for the first hour. We can provide written summaries of the consultation at the same hourly rate. If you choose to hire Ursa Minor for any of the recommended work, we will apply the consultation fee to the final invoice.

Do you have a large tree in your yard that you love, but you want to get a better idea about it's health? Canopy inspections are a great way to get eyes on any potential safety issues in a mature tree. Johanna will perform a visual assessment while climbing throughout the canopy, documenting any pertinent information with photos. We will provide a follow-up report with our findings.
Canopy Inspections range from $125 - $175, depending on the size of the tree. We apply 50% of this fee toward any work booked from our recommendations.
