Jake oversees maintenance, design, and installation for Ursa Minor's landscaping clients. He's been working in the green industry for 25 years. A Milwaukee native, he spent time in Oregon, where he studied permaculture techniques and became passionate about viewing landscapes as thriving, interdependent communities rather than simply ornamental features.
When he's not working, Jake enjoys kite boarding, foraging, drinking bougie tea, and learning new skills.

Johanna grew up in rural Wisconsin, the daughter of a market gardener. She moved to Milwaukee as a young adult. After becoming a mother in 2014, she decided to purse a degree in Landscape Horticulture, which led to a career in the tree care industry.
During the school year, Johanna also serves as an instructor for the Landscape Horticultur
Johanna grew up in rural Wisconsin, the daughter of a market gardener. She moved to Milwaukee as a young adult. After becoming a mother in 2014, she decided to purse a degree in Landscape Horticulture, which led to a career in the tree care industry.
During the school year, Johanna also serves as an instructor for the Landscape Horticulture program at Milwaukee Area Technical College, primarily working with the Arborist Apprenticeship. She's taken first place as the women's tree climbing champion for Wisconsin for six years.
Outside of work, Johanna is attempting to learn how to surf. She also likes working in her garden and trying to grow as much food as possible for her family.
